Boys Scouts hate gays

Boys Scouts of America (BSA): Won’t accept Gays ? “One thing I think People are missing is that BSA is a business. They did an internal review and realized that their stakeholder want this ban, and in fact appear to be proud of the ban. That’s business”.  –Tony Plakas The Boy Scouts of America are an evil business and as consumers we should all turn our wallets away from them for their audacious behavior. Gideon Grudo is a writer for the South Florida Gay News, and wrote an article that touches the subject of gay hate in the boys scouts entitled, “Scouts Won’t accept gays even though they could”, which can be found in print and online form: southfloridagaynews.com,  July 25,2012 volume 3 issue 30. I thought this organization was supposed to teach little boys how to be leaders of tomorrow. Do we as a country really want to teach hate or ignorance to our small ones that will be our leaders of tomorrow? Parents please conduct research on the company that yo...

Common Problems in Job Searching in Miami, FL

Image
I am Native to Miami, FL and here we all know, the rookie hustlers and professional hustlers are readily available as cuban coffe can be poured here. I show up to my job interview about 15 minutes early, at Williamson Cadillac, located at 7815 SW 104 th St, neighboring Dadeland-Mall. The person conducting the interview is discussing the details of the car sales position, when he suddenly throws this bomb at me from left field: that I have to pay 650 or something dollars, almost 700.00 upfront for training materials. His argument: because “the Company, wants to know that you are serious about this opportunity”. He told me the dealership would reimburse the money, I asked him if this was in writing, and then opted out of this opportunity like spam mail. I told him, I was not willing to pay because, in Florida, people are crazy and they want to take your money. I left offended, because the receptionist should have told me this detail over the phone. Had I known, I would h...

Re: Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) Movie Review

Director Rupert Sanders and stars in this movie, Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart.             A remix is evident, when an un-expected “hot mess” happens to be Snow White’s true love and savior from the famous culprit apple-spell. The huntsman plays a vital role in helping Snow reach her potential as a woman and fighter of justice. Also, the Dwarves help Snow and serve as an example of how this film remains true to the conventional version. I’m not going to lie some parts in the movie reeked of cheese and I can do without. Particularly, all the places she went to hide out, you kind of knew that she wasn’t safe but I’m guilty of being a sucker for fairy-tale stories. Among the many positive messages in the film, the two that cheer out loudly, are girls can do anything, if not better than men and true love is closer than you think (silly rabbit).  This film celebrates girl power and packages them as two-at...

Interview with Nelly. Re: Drag Night Life in Miami, FL  Nelson Rodriguez is a personal-friend and established drag star and award-winner of best Latina new-comer of South Beach. Rodriguez 34, of Cuban-Arabic heritage, has been in drag nightlife for 18 years and counting. He is kind to offer his time and other persona, Nelly Norell, during an interview. “Learn to take criticism and be humble,” Nelly said. (Nelson above) (Nelly below) There are many reasons why people get involved in drag. “They want to be Tranny’s, like dressing up as a girl, Cunty (fierce or very much on the cutting edge with personality), or enjoy performing,” Nelly said. In drag culture, usually one is appointed a mentor called a drag mother. The drag mother is cheerleader and educator for aspiring drag queens. They teach industry essential tips: hair, make-up, costume making, proper etiquette, and miscellaneous tips.  “My Mother’s name is Erika Norell. She is known and has a lot ...

Jackson Hospital Dental Clinic Review

Re:Wisdom Teeth Removal The Day of surgery I learned how to put an IV, which is really neat for my Nursing Career and that  I have not even entered the nursing program yet, so that was kind of cool. Everything was cool up until day (3) of recovery, my face was super swollen; the pain was heavy, ugly and uncompromising like a typical loud-mouth Cuban lady. I am so glad that I anticipated to be in pain and scheduled time off accordingly, to ensure a successful and quick recovery time period. My Nurse was super friendly and the Doctor that came in to do my IV was really nice, overall, I'm happy now that I went to Jackson Memorial Hospital (Downtown Miami) ACC West building to get my impacted wisdom teeth taken care of.
